Aldara is a medicine that is also generically known under the name of Imiquimod Topical. This medicine is an immune response modifier. This drug is known to affect the natural response that the patient’s body immune system would give to some stimuli.
Aldara Indications
Aldara is a medicine that can and is usually used for the treatment of patients who are suffering from genital warts (this includes perianal warts). Aldara Warnings

It is highly recommended that you should avoid getting Aldara in the mouth, eyes and nostrils, because this medicine might lead to severe irritations and allergic reactions. Avoid applying this medicine directly to the anus and vagina. Ask your personal physician for advice in these situations. You must not continue using this product after your treatment has ended. A prolonged treatment with this medicine might cause severe and dangerous skin damage.

You must not use Aldara on windburned or sunburned skin. It is best that you first wait until the skin area has completely healed before you use this product. Aldara Usage Guidelines
